PICTURE ID CARDS

All Clubs/Club admins,

The Board has worked diligently in providing the membership with a new id card process which will centralize the process and make it easy for all Club admins to order id cards for new and existing players. The clubs can now upload the pictures of their active players and order the cards online. A link has been posted on the the B-EDCL website home page for the id card site. You can directly visit this link at www.bedclids.com. Use your CLUB ID (not the login id) as is used on the B-EDCL website. For your initial password to log into the site, please email Gokul at gokulkamat@hotmail.com. Change password on first login (a confirmation is sent to the email entered and the new password has to be activated). More details relating to the id cards are on the user guide that is also posted on B-EDCL website. Download it here - ID Card user guide.

PLEASE USE JPG/JPEG FILES ONLY FOR PICTURES.

All diligence has been exercised to resize the photographs and center the player's face through our software. However, after uploading, if you find that the photograph is not properly resized, it is the responsibility of the club to upload a properly sized photograph. For this, you can use free software called Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.ca/). See this Youtube demo on the usage of this software: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CdGo-aFr8s.
(Important: Please note that this is just a suggestion; we do not take any responsibility for the usage of the said software or any effects from the usage of this software thereof).

Only players who have been activated on the edcl.net website can be seen on this site. Cards can be ordered only for active players. Please see/download the user guide for the new process. Making sure id cards are ready for players, and how quickly it is done, is entirely in the hands of the clubs. It is upto the clubs to ensure that the id cards are ordered, picked and available for game day. We are aiming to start printing all ordered id cards from the week of May 3, 2010.

If there are any questions regarding the process or any issues relating to this new process, please feel free to contact the league statistician. Gokul, via email at gokulkamat@hotmail.com (please cc the queries to our technical expert - denny.eapen@gmail.com).

Thank you and have a wonderful 2010 season.
